I did it.
I applied for my first juried craft show.
The fact that it's my first craft show as a crafter may be a wee bit in there also.
The deadline was last night. I made up some samples the other night, took pictures of them, went to CVS to print. I left the house at 8:10. Left CVS about 8:30 (bought a Diet Coke and three candy bars while I was waiting!), made it over to the Grandview library and wrote everything up on the back of the pictures and had it turned in by 8:45.
Whew.
On the way home, I realized that I forgot to enclose the check. DOH!
I'm trying to work on those goals of mine. One was to participate in more craft shows, either as a demo or a crafter. I've been researching online and talking with people the past few weeks. I found this show online last week. But in true Monica fashion, I waited to the last minute.
I will find out in a few weeks if I've been accepted or not.
I also have plans to have a table at our local farmer's market during the summer. I've begun taking inventory of my stash to see what can be decorated/altered/made up with what I have on hand. I'll be taking advantage of this month's 12x12 buy three get one free special!
Say a good crafting prayer for me.
But that's not all-----oh, no!
Yesterday I scored all the cardstock for the card bases. I have 23 card kits to make up by Sunday. I'm so pleased with the response I received for this fundraiser. I hope that everyone enjoys their cards.
So I'm off. I'll update on that project later.

There is strength in numbers.....
I have been very blessed with the support for Relay for Life this year. Many of my friends asked their friends to get card kits, so that circle of support has been expanded.
When I ordered all the supplies yesterday, I had to order enough for 22 kits!
I'm so excited to get these and put them together. Sunday will be a ton of fun!
Just a quick post now, I'll be back later with more stuff.

I'm a SU! Grandma.....WHOOOO HOOOOO!!
Let me start by saying that life is good.
My kids are healthy, doing well in school and usually play well with each other and their friends.
My husband is doing well professionally but has a bit of a cold, but otherwise doing well.
The dogs are still hanging. Max is still fat---those thyroid pills aren't really showing signs of working. Dakota still has that huge bump on her hip and has finished her rounds of meds, so it's back to the vet with her. The Blue Jackets are still on the road to the Playoffs. It's been an exciting season and I've enjoyed being a part of it all fall and winter long.
And on the Stampin' Up! side of life, life is good too! I'm so excited with the response to the latest recruiting promo. Since Chris joined my team, Beth D has also signed up and already has her demo number. I also have one other lady who sent in her paperwork last week and I'm just waiting for SU! to open for the day and get her processed! Once Raquel's paperwork goes through, I'll have 4 demos in my first line. Remember when I said that Chris was having an amazing response? Well, she has already begun building her team and has had two wonderful women join our group!
Chris and I have been discussing plans for this summer getting booths at some of the festivals around town. Theresa is in charge of her community street fest in Sept., so I'll have a booth for that also.
I'm so excited to see where this new development takes me. I am so thankful that I finally stopped trying to determine where God wants me to go. I hope that I realize the opportunities that he puts in my path and go where He'd like me to go.

Layouts for Scramp a Stack
Yep, Mitch had my USB cord.

Ok, for the layouts.
This is one of the double layouts offered. The swirl from Baroque Motifs was embossed with clear embossing powder to create dimension and interest at the top. The Pretties flower can be colored to add interest to the top also.

Next is one side of another double-page layout offered. This one is much more involved. There is stamping, using the Big Shot and SU! Top Note Die, punches and Designer Series Paper.
This the other side of the layout. It uses more stamping, the SU! Scallop Edge Envelope Die and the Big Shot. Punches and DSP too.
I will have enough supplies for 4 more people. Let me know if you are interested. Bring your adhesive.
Welcome to my team!
I am very pleased to welcome my newest team member, Cris B! The 15% deal on the Starter kit was too good of a deal to pass up for her. The 3 month payment option was the cherry on top!
I am so excited to work with her as she begins to build her business!

GRRRRR......can't upload pictures
It is so frustrating when I have some time to sit down and download my pictures....but I can't because I can't find my USB cord. This always seems to happen when Mitch is out of town....hmmmm. Ok, no problem. Found the disk reader. Put it in and computer wouldn't work. Black screen. Not pretty and I'm not sure I'll try it again any time soon.
So here's a run-down of all the projects I've worked on this past month:
New catalog kick-off party, two cards and some sour cream containers.
Kid's Valentine workshop; a pencil topper, a nugget tent, a card using the Top Note Die and a cute cover for small bags of candy. All very cute.
Typed up project directions and bagged cardstock for three different classes for 13 people for the overnight retreat.
A few projects using the Big Shot during the retreat.
4 different double-page spreads getting ready for my Scramp a Stack of Layouts class at the end of this month.
Typed up, printed and made up 4 books for the marker club members.
Typed up and printed direction sheets for this month's technique class.
Thank-you cards using the Rasberry Tart DSP and Elegant Thank you stamp during PMS Night.
Did up and mailed a swap for the Big shot. Will have an example of every die available in the IB&C.
Working on two other swaps for the Big Shot. Same type as above. Elbow is hurting a bit and needed to switch arms. Not as efficient with the left arm as the right.
It's just stressing me out not being able to download these pictures. GRRRRRR.
