Here's a quick card using the new Sweet Centers set from the holiday mini--using my favorite Halloween color combo of Perfect Plum, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. And lots of punches.
The 1 3/4" circle, the 1 3/8" circle, the new modern label punch. don't they look like monster hands? Too cute!
We are off to BG for the weekend of camping and football. It's supposed to rain all weekend so we rented a camper from Morale services---$120.00 for the whole weekend! Love the perks for being military!
Anyway, getting ready for my big holiday kick-off party next week. Lots to show and see, so stop by! 9:30am or 7pm on Tuesday. Have heard from several people and can't wait to see everyone!
Have a great weekend!

Today is our 15th Wedding anniversary.
It's hard to believe that 15 years has passed so quickly. It seems just last year that we bought our house and moved in. We bought the house in Oct. 1995 and moved into the house in Dec. 1996---it was a serious fixer-upper!
I don't have any pictures of us back then or of the house back then on this computer. I'll have to see if I can track down some and share.
Not much has changed for Mitch or I. We have more wrinkles. I have more gray hair and a few more pounds.
Over the years we added onto the house twice: the sunroom/kids' playroom and my craft room. We dug a well and updated most of the plumbing, but still have several large jobs to do. We put in new windows, a new roof, new gutters, ran electric, planted trees, cut down trees. Added three dogs and three kids. Still have two dogs and three kids.
Professionally, it's been a crazy ride. Mitch has been promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel. Together we endured a 14-month separation while he was deployed supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum from Ashland University in May, 2001. I taught for 7 years before we began our family. When we began our family, my job was to keep the house together and take care of the children. I joined Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator in April 2005. Keeping the house together is a relative term, because I'm not a very good housekeeper--never was--and I feel like I can have a clean house when the kids are grown and out on their own!
It's amazing how quickly these years have passed. I look forward to the challenges that the next 15, 30, 45 years bring us.

Yes, I've joined the craze of Facebook.
I'm still learning the deal. Right now I have just a personal page and I'm working on creating a business page. So, if you are on FB, I'd love it if you became a fan!

Two days till SU! Regionals in Cincinnati
Whoo Hoo! Less than 48 hours and I will be in a room full of other crazy stampers from all over! I know people who are traveling from Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia---it's a small taste of what Convention is like.
I chatted a bit last night with a Convention buddy and her group from Michigan who I'll be reuniting with Saturday morning. Can't wait!
Beth will be traveling down with me, my sister, and the kids and staying at my parent's house. The kids will then spend the day with the gparents while we head downtown.
I wasn't going to make any swaps this time. I've participated in several swaps last month and have a good selection. But I started getting the swap fever. So this morning after I put the kids on the bus, I headed upstairs.
I used a card I designed for this month's stamping playdate, but I cut the main panel too short and had to rework it a bit. I'll take a picture and show you tomorrow how I managed to make 25 swaps in less than 3 hours---including reinking my So Saffron pad and a 1/2 hour phone call with Beth!

Update on $75.00 GC give-away
This gift certificate give-away didn't happen this weekend as I had hoped. Bad timing---close to the school year beginning and all that goes with that, the holiday and no one getting the new holiday mini yet.
But never fear! My 15th wedding anniversary is later this month and I'm having a holiday kick-off party on the 29th, so there will be plenty of chances to win!
Stacey M will recieve a sampling of Big Shot die cuts, including the new Build-a-Bear, for being the first to let me know she received her holiday mini in the mail.

Very Thankful Class
I changed up the examples for the Very Thankful class later tonight. The last samples all used the same color scheme---which I like very much---but was a bit boring. So I did these up.
I like these color combos so much that they will be this month's color combos!
The peacock card: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay textured, Crushed Curry textured, Very Vanilla
Scallop edge punch and Crushed Curry 1/2" polka-dot grosgrain ribbon.
Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay markers
The turtle card (not colored): Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry textured, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla CS. Black Stazon ink.
Modern Label, Word Window punches, Watercolor crayons and aquapainter.
Thanks So Much: So Saffron, Dusty Durango textured, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla CS. Eyelet edge punch, Dusty Durango 1/2" polka-dot grosgrain ribbon. So Saffron ink and Dusty Durango marker, 1/2" circle punch, dimensionals.
Thank You(boy)card: Sahara Sand, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla CS. Black Stazon-on ink. Heart to Heart punch. Watercolor crayons and aquapainter, dimensionals.
Did you notice that the textured cardstock comes in 8.5x11 size now? Yep! In an assorted pack, same as the 12x12, which is what I got. LOVE it!

August's Customer Appreciation Winner
Congratulations Carrie B! You are now the proud owner of the "Darling Dots" stamp set.
Fortune is also on my side as Carrie is coming over in the morning for the Ribbon of Hope class.
Since my kids should be sleeping; I had Mitch pick the winner.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's classes.
I'll have September's color combinations and the customer appreciation prize up later this week. Reagan was helping me choose the colors----she likes lots of contrast!
