So Cameo Blue

Here is an example using one of this month's cardstock combos: So Saffron, Cameo Coral and Ballet Blue.

A customer sent a request to see if I knew how to make a silverware holder she had seen on a display at a local craft store.

So this is what I came up with.

How to:
Cut cardstock in half (hotdog style) at 4 1/4". Now have (2) 4 1/4x11" pieces.

Score @ 7" and 7 1/4".

Flip cardstock over and score @ 1"

To create the pocket, I attached two small pieces of Sticky Strip in each corner.

Decorate.

Super easy way to dress up a table.

I used Ballet Blue, Cameo Coral and So Saffron CS. Ruby Red ink. Animal Stories stamp set, another set that can be chosen as a FREE SAB choice when you order $50.00 or more.

Quick Thank You tags

Name tags so my hostess knows which bag goes to which friend.

These tags took about 10 minutes to make--start to finish. The two tags die, the scallop circle and the butterfly punches made it super easy.

Stamp set is Thank You Kindly (pg. 145, $13.95) which can be a FREE SAB set.

I completely agree!

I just had to laugh when these boxes were delivered yesterday. Sale-a-Bration is one of my favorite times of the year with Stampin' Up! and this on the box just sums it up.

I'm getting closer

So I figured out how to upload the blog banner. But the whole pixel thing is still eluding me.

Honestly, I know there is a way to do all this with My Digital Studio. I've seen it on blogs, so I know it can be done. But when you start talking HTML codes and pixels, I need to bring in my husband. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that yet.

So the blog banner will stay the wrong size, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I love the fact I can change up the banner to suite my whims or the seasons.

My sister and BIL are taking ALL THREE KIDS FOR AN OVERNIGHT tonight. Originally we were going to see Brad Paisley in concert, but I choose to get tickets to Martina McBride and Trace Adkins instead in Feb. But my sister was all set to take the kids, so we kept the date. Mitch and I still haven't decided what we are going to do, but that's ok. I'm ok with not having any real plans. Brad Paisley is still an option. Dinner and Avatar in 3D is also. Life is good.

A Christmas gift from my husband

This is the carrying case for a portable light box. This is not a gift that everyone would like to receive, but I was very touched that my husband gave me a portable light box. It includes two lamps, 4 different colors of backdrops and the light box.

Just like my front-loading washer and dryer I received the year my son was born for Mother's Day. When I was younger I would have been horrified by the thought of receiving appliances as a gift----but he noticed I was doing more laundry with 4 people in the house (at the time) and the drying element in the dryer wasn't working well. He didn't want to fix the dryer (even though he can), so he looked for a solution to both problems. He had also recently been promoted to Captain, and he used some of the raise he got to pay for it. I appreciate how much simpler doing laundry is now thanks to that machine. If it fits in the washer, it gets washed. And I LOVE the man that gave it to me.

The light box is the same way. It will be a gift that I use on a regular basis. And I will think of him each time I use it.

Blog Banner, but need some work

As I posted a bit ago, I was finally getting around to using the Digital Studio software program. I was trying to redo the blog banner. Need to work on the size thing, but the program was really easy to use.

My Digital Studio Redesign

I finally broke open my copy of MDS. I've been playing around with a new blogger header---which you can see I managed to do, but I need to work on the sizing.

It's a learning curve and I've enjoyed playing around with it so far. It will make scrapping my photos a blast!

Little one is home sick again, so I'm off for a bit since she finally woke up and wants to eat.
